Discribe the solidification process, and the type of
nucleation, and crystal growth

Explain the principles of diffusion process in materials.

Identify the type of microstructure and its relation with the
phase diagram.

Explain the relation of TTT diagram to the phase
transformation
Synopsis
Fundamental concepts of solidification including nucleation and
microstructures evolution during solidification as well as diffusion
in transformation. The various types of phase and the phase
stability theories, Gibbs free energy and its relation to the phase
stability and phase transformation. The use of the different types
of phase diagrams for processing of materials; the type of
cooling; and for determine the structure of materials.Types of
phase transformations; TTT and CCT diagrams.
