Design the different types of gearboxes, motion and speed
mechanism of machine tools.

Apply the basic principles of machine tool design.
3.
Design of Machine Tool Structure Elements (such as beds,
housing, column, guideways, ball screws, lead screws,
protecting devices, spindles and spindle support elements)
4.
Analyze the vibration and chatter in the different machine
tool elements and justify accuracy of machine tools.
5.
Compare and make choices based on experience with
different types of automated and CNC machine tools.
