Design the patterns, moulds and castings keeping the
production problems in view.

Select the proper process attributes required in the castings.
Synopsis
Principles of metal casting. Attributes of precision casting.
Precision casting methods with expendable and non-expendable
moulds. Melting and pouring of metals. Metallurgical and
thermal analysis of castings and their heat treatment and
inspection.
