Synopsis
Covers the basic of biomaterials which includes their mechanical
and biological properties. Types of testing and sterilisation
methods also included. This course explains types of implant and
device failures which normally occur to an implant and reviews
current usage of biomaterials in different research areas. In
addition it raises awareness of the ethical considerations related
to advanced biomaterials.
