Explain the effects of friction and to solve problems involving
application in mechanical systems.

Solve problems involving rigid bodies in equilibrium using the
virtual work method.
Synopsis
This course introduces force systems, force and moment in 2D
and 3D systems, forces that exist within stationary and moving
structures, geometrical properties of figures, actions of
distributed forces, and rigid bodies in equilibrium.
